Starr standing on the corner the first time we meet.  Later that evening,  in a  Mexican restaurant we talked as she worked on her makeup, with the results seen below.

Gradually we learn she lives by night working the street, and sleeps by day in her boyfriend's car at an auto shop in a suburb where he works. It's cold sleeping for hours in the car and the police stop to find out what she's doing in their nice suburb.

We pick her up from the parking lot after the police departed, and she's in a hurry to leave (below left).

France shopping with Starr the evening before we drive her to the treatment center. Without reading glasses, she can't see the labels and France helps her (below right).

At the drug treatment center she waited six hours for intake. This explains the photo at left.

She lasted six days. The boyfriend came and picked up her up Sunday at midnight.
